Direction: Mónica Calle
Production: Casa Conveniente / Zona Não Vigiada (PT)
The director and choreographer Mónica Calle’s work Ensaio para uma Cartografia uses a highly reduced and precise language of movement to highlight the emancipatory power of twelve women. The dancers thwart the continuous refinement of perfection and shift the boundaries between music and movement in the course of this two hour performance.
Mónica Calle has run the renowned laboratory for engaged theater Casa Conveniente in Lisbon for almost 30 years. Her works are highly appreciated and they have been invited all over Europe.
