The storyteller's point of view is the one of a boy too often called to seek treatment in the office of the dentist Spodek. The boy's tooth ache contrasts with the heart ache of the Spodeks, who lost a daughter to death camps and another one to the self-imposed seclusion in a Catholic monastery, which sheltered her from deportation, during the War."Felix Alexa - not just the director, but also the light designer of the play – puts the cinematographic style of the author into practise which makes you a witness of historical events. He knew how to stage this story that oscilliates with exactitude between the depression and the gallows humour of the play. The freedom enjoyed by the actors on stage, is due to the strict control of the relationships between the characters by the directorial eye. These relationships are spiced up with pain, humour, irony and affection and that are added to by Ada Milea's music."
