"I am trying to re-read this play myself and to pull Ivona out of the snare of Gombrowiczology", says the director. The Polish spectator is familiar with the story, the text was often staged by important creators of the Polish theatre (Zygmunt Hübner, Krystian Lupa, Grzegorz Jarzyna). Garbaczewski promises that in his version the spectators will see a completely different Ivona. It will not be another attempt at deconstructing the play, but rather a much more profound entry in the process of a struggle against the silence. This effect is achieved by the use of a TV camera. The form of the show is something intermediate between a film and a theatrical performance. Even the stage design is like a film set and dynamic as it undergoes some kind of degradation during the performance. 'The camera allows us to gain a much more intimate insight into the world of Ivona, into the world of her silence and the world of the other protagonists. This will be 'Ivona - The movie'"
