The show directed by Alexander Hausvater is a theatre, dance and music cabaret. The play crystallises the impossible relationship between Frau Hess – extreme, eccentric, aristocrat, and member of the Nazi Party – and Isaac Baum, the proud Jew, torn by the conflict of giving up his own identity to be part of her world. In a troubling and confusing period – 1944 Germany – their conscience enters a trial with history, for the acceptance of blame, and the suffering sharpens their sensitivity to the accusations against them. From a high moral ground, the protagonists accuse, without assuming anything, absolving themselves from any guilt.
