Chronicle
by Carmen TărniCERU (cer = sky)
A vivid, nuanced show, in colours that are
cruel to watch and feel. The situations begin to flow slowly, slightly funny, and the characters seem
relaxed, exactly as much as they should be. The spectator sinks into the chair
like a bourgeois. He knows he'll have fun. He does not imagine that this
attractive beginning is a lie, while he is perversely caught in a trap. Slowly,
the situation changes. The humour becomes more and more yellow, to the extreme,
and the giggling Chinese dragons become more and more frightening. The colours
of the stage, although unchanged to the end, are increasingly gloomy,
metamorphosing into panics that seem to be displayed on the parapets
surrounding the stage. You feel stuck in the increasingly uncomfortable chair,
from which there is no chance of escape. What happened?
Through a seizure to which
we have repeatedly consented without any concern, (agree/allow all cookies/we may use your browsing history/consent to
collect your personal information, etc.), in a diabolical and
sinister way, “technology” has raised high walls on
our shoulders that butcher our desire to get rid of “Satan”. And in the few
moments of lucidity, you find out that your
freedom to do so has also been exterminated.
As luck would have it, we remember from
time to time throughout the show that everything happens in China, so there is
nothing to worry about. And we would laugh at the irony in this thought if we
did not have our jaws clenched.
