Workshop for movement, sound and radical softness

with Kinga Ötvös & Tímea Kovács

3 hour long exploration and laboratory around the themes of softness, generosity and power

Registration workshop: https://forms.gle/bqEWn349J4UX8std6

In the workshop we explore the techniques and themes we used and developed in the creation process of 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 performance: radical softness, the generous space and power positions.

Radical softness: this practice can be seen as a pre-technique, a pre-warm up, that prepares the body by relaxing, finding safety and comfort in the body. We search for ways of softening through breathing, sounding and moving. Using this base of comfort we create space for

improvisation and free exploration on given subjects. Power poses: We propose a collective de-constructive, free association practice to list

what we mean by the notion of power. We explore poses of power - moves, gestures, facial expression and gaze that charge us with the sense of power, that make us feel empowered and potent.

Generous space is a performative exercise for revisiting the material that was born during the workshop and transform it so that it becomes a generous act, a shared experience.
